Biography
Elena Sheremet was born on October 17 in Saint-Petersburg in a military family. Due to the nature of service Elena’s family often had to move to different locations. These were the most beautiful and unusual areas of our country. Few of us has a chance to visit Severomorsk, Murmansk-150, Severodvinsk, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Obninsk, Vladivostok and other cities. Her father, Viktor Mykhaylovich, captain of the II rank, demobilized from military service in the position of a submarine commander, the navy veteran. He continued his career working at vessels of the Far Eastern Shipping Company. Tankers and general cargo vessels required new knowledge and skills and helped feel the difference between the blue sea with clear sky above and the grey narrow sector of northern seas. Her mother, Valentina Semenovna, is a clinical psychologist and a member of the Russian Professional League of Psychotherapists. She has been managing Primorsky Regional Charitable Foundation “Humanness and Mercy” for many years. Her brother Andrey graduated from Buguruslanskoye Flight School of Civil Aviation and Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation. Currently he is a pilot at Aeroflot Airlines. Valentina Semenovna is a creative person. When she was young she danced professionally, liked singing and playing piano. It determined Elena’s future. She entered the Children’s Music School (piano specialization) while living in Murmansk. At the same time she studied acrobatics and pop dancing. This city left lasting impressions of hills covered with snow and amazing Polar light in her memory. Three years later Viktor Mikhaylovich received an appointment to Vladivostok. Its atmosphere was strikingly different from the places where Elena lived before.
