Biography
Elena’s albums were a good foundation for future development. Her next step was transforming the instrumental project into a commercially successful brand, synthesis of music and dancing. A remarkable director and choreographer Anatoly Anishchenko was invited for the project. Two charming dancers joined the project as well. In 2008 Elena Sheremet had a solo concert at the Moscow International Performing Arts Center within the framework of Musicfest festival. The concert’s theme was “Sax in the City” — life of a contemporary individual in a metropolis. This individual finds himself among a never ending flow of events, rejoices and grieves, but never stops believing in love and dreams. The artists from the show ballet bands “Ideal” (Director Aleksey Yaremchuk) and “Proud” (Director Dmitry Mokritsyn) participated in the concert. She performed compositions of Aleksander Shulgin, Ennio Morricone, Dave Koz, Candy Dulfer, popular hits of the 80s and film soundtracks. Spectators were most impressed with the composition played in commemoration of the great artists who had gone, but still live in our hearts. The original suits, eye-catching decorations, exquisite and subtle sound of saxophone made the show bright, colorful and unforgettable.
The next stage in Elena’s creative career was invitation to participate in the festival “Russian weekend in Germany” in Hannover city. She cooperated with the festival for 3 years. It brought her many interesting meetings with Russian celebrities, acquaintance with traditions and customs of German culture. It was followed by performances at the Russian National Expo in Paris, performance tours to Turkey, Berlin, Nice, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, etc.
In 2014 before opening of the Olympics in Sochi she performed jointly with a music band “Terem Quartet”. It was an amazing music band of Russian traditional music instruments from Saint-Petersburg. They were honored with invitation to perform in the Vatican by the Pope. It was the rare and unique opportunity to cooperate with musicians of the international level. Cooperation with this musical band gave her unbelievable emotions, warmth and joy in her heart and precious memories that she will carry through her life.
This summer Elena’s long-nurtured dream has come true — she performed a concert with the string orchestra. A brilliant musician, People’s Artist of Russia, art director of the Russian State Academic Chamber “Vivaldi Orchestra”, Svetlana Bezrodnaya invited Elena to perform jointly at Arkhangelskoye memorial estate. “Vivaldi-orchestra” is a unique music band: all its members are women. Elena hopes for further fruitful cooperation with this orchestra and possible recording of a joint album.
Elena has many creative plans and projects for the future. May she implement them very soon! Good bye!
